McKay Hatch must have a mother very similar to mine.  He  broke down while addressing an American Mother’s Group as he read a tribute that Abraham Lincoln wrote about his mother.  He referenced Lincoln’s tribute to his own mother.

McKay Hatch was raised in a home where moral values were strong.  McKay was well grounded in the values he was taught.  His parents taught their children not to cuss.  When McKay entered Junior High School his friends who he thought would never cuss started to cuss badly.  McKay went through what everyone goes through at that age.  Many kids have trouble with that.  Some uphold the values that they may have been taught.  Many give in.

McKay finally confronted his friends and told them to stop.  Over time his friends rallied to his cause and the No Cussing Club thus was born in a Middle School in Pasadena, California in 2007.  McKay took it a step further.  When the club members attended a city council meeting to ask for No Cussing Zone signs to be posted in designated areas in the city, the news media cameras were waiting outside.  The kids were interviewed and the No Cussing Club quickly exploded to the 35,000 plus members that now extend worldwide in 22 or more countries as well as in all 50 states in the US.  In California a law was passed on March 10, 2010 proclaiming the first week in March No Cussing Week.

What an inspiration and a blessing to have the No Cussing Club and a crusader like McKay Hatch.  He has started a moral crusade that I have waited all my life for some popular talented teenage icon like McKay Hatch singer and songwriter to start, to encourage a standard of moral dignity and courage for young and old alike to strive for.

The book No Cussing Club by McKay Hatch 2009 then a sixteen-year old boy, is a very poignant story of his founding of The No Cussing Club, dedicated to using “words that uplift”.  In his book No Cussing Club McKay tells how he dealt with opposition, bullying and threats. We need to use our Language to uplift.  We all have a voice; use it for good. Your words become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your behavior. Your behavior becomes your character. Your character becomes your destiny. "Leave people better than you found them."                                      McKay Hatch http://www.facebook.com/posted.php?id=111765552195869&share_id=123175107704680&comments=1#s123175107704680 You can join by going to http:/nocussing.com/.  You can also purchase tee shirts; wristbands, other relevant books, DVD’s, badges, and you can purchase the book No Cussing Club by McKay Hatch for $14.95.  I encourage.
